some of you may of experienced some problems with the Wiki lately, i have contacted TLG, and he has this to say about it:
So all i can advise to contributors is to limit your contributions to short & quick edits to avoid losing your hard work, and to avoid editing late morning (PST)The problem happens quite infrequently.
Thus I had trouble identifing it. It only happens at late morning PST. Each
period last for about 5 minutes.
Given the time period the problem happens, I suspect the problem stems from
overloaded+misconfigured sql server given the slow db server response speed
at that time frame; But I have no proof yet.
Anyway it has to be the wiki's database server problem because the site and
the forum+gallery db servers have no problem when the error occured.
I contacted the hosting company support team last week, but I have not heard
any satisfactory responses from them yet.
If this continue I will have to relocate the wiki db into a different
server. This shouldn't be too hard- the wiki will be down for a few hours
while I relocate the db, though.
I will monitor the servers for the next two days to see if I can pinpoint
the trouble.

As you can see, no clear resolution has been found, and if TLG decides to relocate the the Wiki, rest assured we will announce the date before hand.
This only affects the Wiki, so you may continue to use the forums, during that time, we may or may not open an temporary forum/thread to allow translators to post scripts, and open editing will be allowed so editors and contributors may continue.
Regardless of the outcome we will annouce all plans after all options have been considered.
you can discuss this announcement here
Sincerely,
