While waiting for BaKaFiSh, here's a little something to keep you more intrigued about the, erm, intrigues of Suzumiya Haruhi.
The main theme for today: Koizumi X Kyon

After that, all of us stood up and prepared to leave. Needless to say, it was my duty to settle the bill. A habit can be such a dangerous thing. How I loathe myself for picking up the bill so naturally!
“I’m sorry you have to do this again, Kyon-kun. Thank you.” Asahina-san’s apology was the only thing that made me feel better. Koizumi also said something to that extend, but when coupled together with such a situation, and a happy smile to boot, how could you expect me to feel relieved?
All he said was:
“If you ever run out of money, I can always find a part-time job for you.”

As I was about to leave the coffee shop, Koizumi approached me and told me more about this “job”.
“It’s an easy job, really. After you get used to it, I’m sure it’ll be a piece of cake for you. The salary is absurdly high too, this I can guarantee you.”
Thanks, but no thanks.
An image of a devil hiding behind that smiling face suddenly flashed into my mind, as I pictured myself signing a mysterious guest book, before being brought into a mysterious research facility. As I was blindfolded, modifications would be done to my mind and body, allowing me to temporarily receive esper powers. I’m sorry, Koizumi, but I’ve had enough of sealed spaces. I don’t want to be stuck in another one of those gray worlds again, thank you.
And finally, if you aren't sick of Koizumi right now, here's the third and last preview:

“I’m also working on that part-time job. You can work too, if you wish. It’s not
something stressful, don’t worry.”
I think I’ll leave that kind of work to you.
“Only you can do something like that.”
I hurriedly replied, trying to exit this conversation as soon as possible. I wish to remain a normal human without special powers, be it real or manufactured, thank you.
“Hmm…” Koizumi said as his lips curled upwards, revealing a smile.
“If you ever change your mind, be sure to give me a call. I can teach you the basics, and even go beyond that, if you wish.”
I've never felt so sick translating anything in my entire life before. Kyon X Koizumi is just so... Wrong.
I'm starting to hate this chapter >.<

P/P/S: This is NOT a joke translation, just in case some of you are doubting it. Go blame Tanigawa for writing something that sounds so misleading ;P

Whats wrong with it? The way you phrased it, I was expecting something along the lines of yaoi Kyon x Koizumi adventures.
Seems like something Koizumi would do. Does it make him detestable?

@Nutcase: I'm not really sure why, but Tanigawa seems to like writing about Kyon X Koizumi. And this portion of translated text isn't so bad when you read it in the full version, it's only extracts like these that make it sound bad ;P
