Chapter 10: The Hero of Ivaldi
Kirche's dance was beautiful, but Louise, Montmorency and Sylphid's were helplessly not skillful.
Matching a simple rhythm, Kirche made a melody with her dance. The other three behind her saw that and moved as if trying to mimic her, but they could not do it.
Nevertheless, to the soldiers who were craving for entertainment, that was good enough. That's because the dancing young girls' figures were only messily covered with cloth at the breasts and the waist.
The wine they brought here became empty very quickly.
Shaking her sexy body, that red-haired girl was just like the incarnation of fire- shaking bewitchingly and passionately. The flashily swinging red hair was like a flaming torch.
On the other hand, the blonde and the pink-haired lady were merely shaking their waists rhythmically with her. But strangely, their movements were noble-like, and they possessed a high class radiance as if that was a dance presented in the palace.
As for the blue-haired girl, initially, she could only sway about clumsily like a new-born fawn. However, in time, she got the hang of it, and started raging around happily.
Her wild presentation did not look like a dance no matter what, but watching her face brimming with joy brought fun to those people.
The soldiers gulped and emptied the wine.
Inside, Baron Misscoeur left his seat. He did not touch the served wine, not even a drop.
Kirche saw Baron Misscoeur's soldiers headed towards her. As if that was a signal, Kirche stopped her dance.
Worried, Louise whispered into Kirche's ear.
“That commanding officer didn't touch the wine. Is that okay?”
“I'll do something about it, so leave it to me. Umm, Montmorency. You prepared the sleeping potion so that it would work exactly after an hour right?”
“Yeap. But I think there might be slight differences between individuals...”
“So, 30 minutes from now huh. Please deal with these soldiers appropriately. In 30 minutes time, I should have returned too.”
A soldier who rushed up to Kirche, whispered a few words to Kirche.
Smiling sweetly and nodding, she went after Baron Misscoeur who had disappeared.
The remaining members exchanged looks with one another.
“She said she was buying more time, but...”
The drunk audience started shouting unanimously.
“Hey!! The performance had ended!?”
“If so, come here, and pour us some wine!”
“I don't want! Pouring wine to the soldiers!?”
Monrmorency trembled all over with fear. She had been humiliated by dancing in front of the commoners wearing such embarrassing costume. If she had to serve them wine too, she probably could no longer take it.
“We-we'll dance! Quiet!”
Part two began. However, the dance team was without Kirche, and matching the horrendous music, they merely shook their waists roughly to the delicate rhythm. Because of that, the soldiers began to grow tired of it. Apparently, the huge success in the first part was due to Kirche's presence.
“What the heck is this!? Return our money!!”
Wine bottles and dishes flew towards them.
“Shit! Cocky soldiers!”
Poinkk! Being hit by wine bottles squarely at their heads, Guiche and Malicorne exploded in fury.
“W-wait! If you get angry here our plans will be spoiled!”
Saito anxiously stopped them.
“What's wrong! Since you're dancing, strip!”
“I can take off my clothes now?”
Kyui, kyui! Seemingly happy, Sylphid was about to strip off her clothes when it was Louise who- Pongg! hit her at the head.
“Why you hit me!?”
“Have some dignity! Dignity!”
“But I have no dignity in this form!”
Sylphid said, pointing at the dancer's costume which slightly covered her breasts and waist.
“You have no choice!”
At their confusion, the soldiers booed them down.
“Oi oi! So how!”
Saito coughed, and unsheathed Derflinger from his back. The soldiers became silent in an instant.
Malicorne and Guiche tried to stop him anxiously.
“Pl-Please stop! Don't be violent!”
But Saito-
“After this, I'll show my sword dance!”
-shouted desperately.
Under the attentive eyes of the silent soldiers, Saito swung Derflinger about.
“Cresent Moon Blow! Hoyaa!”
He jumped, and struck the ground.
“Jumping slash! Heeyaaa!”
The soldiers did not respond, but......in time, a roar started.
“Y-you INSULTING us!?”
“We train with swords every day!!”
“Why must we watch you bastard's pathetic sword dance!?”
“Oops, we better go......”
The soldiers stood up and were going to leap at them. At that moment......
A gentle sound of flutes could be heard.
“Eh?”
Why this novel so long not updated, I want to see the ending!!! Maybe I shall edit it a litte at least make one ending. I'm dont know the real story line is just predict with my thought. If you find that is irritated just del them.
In Saito’s thought ‘who might be able to play the flute so skillfully’, without a few second, the gentle sound of flutes covered all place of the courtyard. Every soldier who drank the sleeping potions slept instantly without 30 minutes condition and collapsed on the grass ground and others were fallen into the world of melody. It seen the sound of flute let the effect of sleepiness came out but it didn’t success, some of the soldiers still remain consciousness. When the sound of flutes were stopped, a loudly shout came from the dizzy soldier.
“What’s the heck!?”
The remained soldiers were shocked when they saw this unbelievable scene. It seemed they were recovered from the gorgeous and attractive sound of flutes, they were found that they had being deduced by a bunches of untalented performers on the center of courtyard.
“That’s the timing! Saito, we shall act quickly!”
“…..”
Seeing this scene, Louise became panic but she tried to be calm and urged the motionless Saito to act. It seen Saito felt nostalgic about the sound of flute and was freeze but the melody came from it.
“W-We will confront the remained soldiers, the rest is up to you!”
Guiche cried loudly, it was appeared like Guiche and others will buy the time for Saito and Louise. At the moment when Saito recovered from the conscious and prepared to go, Saito’s sleeve was grasped by Sylphid with her slender smooth finger. It seen she decided to save her master with them as well.
“Kyui…”
“Ok, let’s go”
Sylphid nodded and three of they departed from the courtyard and went into the inside mansion. At the moment when Saito tried to go, he turned back to them and shouted.
“Idiot Guiche, promise me to stay alive with others !!”
“Yes, I will!”
Meanwhile at the courtyard, there got only three people left----Malicorne, Guiche and Montmorency. They needed to face the remained soldiers. Malicorne was trembling and started counting.
“One…. Two….. No it is twenty….. No it even more!! “ The feeling of fearing the death made Malicorne’s thought became even panic, he couldn’t even calm down. There were totally twenty-nine soldier draw out their wands and swords marching upon them slowly. Any moment they would be attacked. Montmorency was hided behind the trembling and wordless Guiche and started letting her unsatisfied feeling and blamed him.
“Guiche, remember what I telling your guys just now. I DON’T WANT YOU GUYS BRING US A DANGEROUS SITUATION!”
“……”
Guiche didn’t listen to her, but staring on the ferocious soldiers who marching toward them. I’m feared, I couldn’t do anything about this… I’m a fool that play cool in front them but can’t do anything when the time is came…. But something motivated him. Yet I’m the commander of Water Oath but no anymore… However, I got something promised to someone. After that, he took a glare on Montmorency and he was determined. Yes, I promise Montmorency to get rid of danger for her, I promised Saito to stay alive. So that was I can do though I’m a dot-class magician.
Guiche started recited the spell, Montmorency was shocked since she even didn’t know that Guiche could chanted the spell that fast. The soldier started dashed toward them while recited their spell. However the earth spell of Guiche was completed, the ground around them was started shoot upward and turned into an earth wall. Five of the soldiers got hit by the thick wall and fall down onto the ground. When the fire and ice arrows which the soldier casted started to hit the earth wall, Montmorency and Malicorne were scared. However in front of Montmorency’s eyes, Guiche wasn’t, he continued his chanting without stop. It seen he didn’t get interference but the explosive and crashing sound made by the soldier and fall into his own chanting world.
The wall started to corrode due to the constant attacks from them, but the defense wall turned into rain of soil and started piecing onto the soldiers’ body. A lot of they were fallen due to the attacks of soil rain. Montmorency was impressed since she had found that Guiche just gained the element of water, he instantly became triangle-class mage. He combined the water element into the earth wall and turned their into half-liquid state of soil, he used earth element to make the half-liquid soil into small sharp pieces, then he used wind element to send the soil pieces shooting the soldiers. Her glistening eyes staring at Guiche with admirable eyes without turning around. However, this complicated spell caused Guiche used up all his wills. He knelt and fall into unconscious. There were still nine uninjured soldiers remained and they started casting their spell. A ice arrow was shot at fallen Guiche, Montmorency screamed and dashed toward them. Kiiiiiiiii, a thrusting sound was heard, the scarlet blood was spread through all the place and redden the grasses around Guiche. The golden hair girl was stained with blood. Her bloody hand and body were lying on Guiche face and body. Guiche was remained unharmed but the girl who tried to protect him was impaled with ice arrow. The blue silver arrow was tainted with blood and became red remained on the girl’s body.
After seeing that creepy scene, Malicorne wasn’t scared at all but the anger deep inside his heart was explodes. He shouted fiercely with his anger voice. “You f*cker, are you insulting me? You're insulting ME!? In the 17 years since I was born, I have never received even a single line of poetry from any girl, or should I say, with matching looks, girls laughing at me... hurting a beautiful girl in front of me!? Oi! Tell me! How does this happiness-thingy taste like!? Tell this Malicorne de Grandple! I won’t forget you guys any more, YOU REGRET FOR INSULTING ME!!”
The soldiers were angered by his word, but his words aren’t just for kidding. Without a second, one of them was knocked down by his typhoon. He started reciting while taking off the clown hat and red nose on his face. The ice and fire arrows were broke by his fierce gale and blow other two onto the wall of courtyard. The nobles became panic. “What wrong will this kid! Now, you there perform close combat to him and others chanting powerful spell and bashed him to dead.”
With Saito daily training and his high focusing battle spirit, Malicorne managed to dodge the close combat attacks performed by the soldiers while chanting spell. The spell of the nobles and Malicorne’s spell launched at the same time. The wind spell since combined with all elements and turned into a ferocious whirlwind blow upon the ground, the flame golem the nobles summoned was no match for that magic.
In the end, all the remained soldiers were collapse, the noble too. Only one of them remained on the field and was trembling. Malicorne thrust his wand on the ground and commanded the noble in fear.
“You there heal the girl behind you and tied everyone on the pillar.”
“Y-Yes.” There he lauched loudly.
“Kneel in front of Malicorne’s wrath, HAHAHAHA”
Other the hand, Saito and others stepped in the room and closed the door. It was dark inside and they could something fishy about the atmosphere.
“This is strange…… Is Tabitha really jailed in this…..Alhambra castle?” Louise asked with her small volume voice.
“Indeed, Kyui! I can sense my master, Kyui!” Sylphid answered back with excited as like she would be meeting her master soon. At that moment, Saito and Sylphid stopped, Saito hand grasped the hand of Louise’s and started drew out Derflinger from his scabbard.
“Partner be cautious, it might be having traps inside the castle.”
“I know that why I stopped!!”
“They’ve coming!!” There were magic puppets and gargoyles coming from the dark side of the house.
Tabitha’s voice can be heard, it looked like someone enlarged her voice.
“Ivaldi entered the dragon's cave. Nothing else accompanied him. With light from his torch, the moss-covered wall of the cave was illuminated. Being disturbed by the light of the torch, many bats flew about trying to escape.”
As Saito was dealing on the magic puppets and gargoyles and slashed them down using Derflinger, the slashed magic puppets and gargoyles were became dust and slip through the door just like the bats flew about trying to escape which
Tabitha’s voice mentioned.
Saito found that Louise and Sylphid disappeared in his sight. He screamed loudly in his fearing voice.
“Louise!!! Sylphid!!!”
“Ivaldi became frightened and close to tears. He imagined that everyone had left him behind in that dark cave. How scary it is!”
It’s just like Tabitha’s voice described, Saito’s heart was in fear of losing Louise and others and somehow he feared of darkness of this castle too. However, in the end, he calmed himself down. Be more potent Saito, my objective now is saving Tabitha-San. But I need to find Louise as soon as possible, I can’t leave her alone in this dangerous situation. While forced to go up stair by the magic puppets and gargoyles. Reluctantly, I must go to find Tabitha. Louise forgive me!
Saito’s left hand’s rune started shone bright and he dashed up stair with incredible speed. Magic puppets and gargoyles could even followed his steps. As higher as he climbed, Tabitha’s voice could be heard more clearly. “Moreover, a terrifying dragon lies ahead waiting for him!” Elf huh!? One who can destroyed town within one night, eat human in flesh, somehow scary! Saito thought it in his mind but his rune shone more brightly. Tabitha’s clearly sound could be heard again.
“But, Ivaldi did not waver. Ivaldi had told himself many times.
“You can do this. Didn't you save many people already? This time you can too. Did'ya hear that Ivaldi? You have power, so running away is cowardly.” It just displaying Saito’s thought. Yes, I can’t run away because of this, there are so many people risk themselves to help me. Colbert…..Kirche…..Guiche…..Lousie….. Moreover, I had the power of Gandálfr. I will save Tabitha for sure for everyone’s sake!!
Saito had reached the floor that Tabitha was jailed by tracking her voice. While he was walking, Derflinger started to talk.
“Hey, partner, don’t you feel that there really is a trap set just for you around this floor.”
“Yeah… But for everyone’s sake, I must go.”
“Well, then be careful, I feel a very abnormal presence in this floor. It seen to be ancient elf.”
“…..” While being silent, a voice came to his ear. It is not Tabitha’s but a male voice. Saito didn’t think much but shouted. “Who’s there, appear yourself now!”
