It’s good that you’re emphasizing those parts even if they look weird. It helps the editors out a lot. I just want all the chapters to have the same style and nomenclature. I wonder if it would be worth making a list of standard Toradora conventions.

Don’t worry about making it look perfect, just let the editors work on that since translating is the longest and most difficult part. (Though you probably already knew that.)

Hi

Just wondering if you could from time to time pop in at the forum as receiving communication and feedback would be easier that way. Look forward to see you there and keep up the good work.

I wouldn't mind doing that, but I tried to register a couple times and never get the activation e-mail. Does it usually take awhile for it to be sent?

Should be almost instant if things are working properly. Either your e-mail is blocking it or you mistyped it. What username were you registering as? I can't guarantee I can do anything but I can try. Smidge204 14:22, 12 August 2008 (PDT)

Hi Smidge. Thanks for offering your help. I got the email a little while ago, so I guess there was just some delay or something. Trabius 14:32, 12 August 2008 (PDT)

Hey Trabius, I'm currently editing Toradora and was wondering about all the "[]" brackets in your translations. I assume that they exist like that in Japanese version. Would it be alright if I replaced them with more traditional quotations and italics where appropriate? Or do you think that some of them should remain as is? Great job translating by the way. Thanks.

Well, as long as it makes sense, it should probably be okay. Sometimes the imagined parts or even some spoken lines don't have any specific ways to distinguish it from the rest of the text except by context, but I usually separate it for emphasis/nuance even if it looks weird. So if you can think of better ways of doing it, I don't mind a bit. Mostly, it's the italics and brackets along with some single quotation marks that I added, so you might want to look those over as well.
