to ref 4: i would guess there are a few reasons;

1. the chimera is human-demon (devil may know what kind of demon) the nephilil are human- fallen angel (acording to legend) so mayhaps its just that fallen angels wont be counted as demons therefor there offspring gets another name...(check Greek mythology for exampels gods and human = demigod; God + nymph = cyclops ....)

2. the nephilim are an entire race, so they earned themselves a name; while chimera just discribes the fakte that there is more than one race blended into that being.

so mayhaps chiharu would get another name as well if there where more of his kind...

3. noone ever claimed that the nephilim wont be Chimeras, but its easier, more precise, and more in accordance the the "political correctness" not to call them that...

4. more over Chimeras are also monsters as far as i know, since they are neither human, nor animals, nor plants or what-not
