- Line 8 - "tanuki"[1]
- Line 81/82 - pun on "piglet"
- <0081> \{Kyou} "It's a piglet." (ウリンコ)
<0082> \{\m{B}} "A pig shit?" (ウンコ)
This is a pun. Kyou told Tomoya that it's an ウリンコ (Urinko=a piglet) but Tomoya responded with ウンコ (Unko=a shit or bullshit)
- <0081> \{Kyou} "It's a piglet." (ウリンコ)
- Line 100 - Botan
- During the Edo period, people started eating the meat of wild boar and called it "botan (peony)". The meat of deer was called "momiji (maple leaf)" and that of the horses was "sakura (cherry blossoms)." In this way the pious Buddhists could pretend to eat as vegetarians.
Botan-nabe (牡丹鍋)is a stewpot dish of wild boar's meat and vegetables in a broth. The thin slices of raw meat are beautifully arranged on a large plate in the shape of a peony flower, see below. Boar's meat is highly nutritious, and remains soft even after a long boiling. Wild boar's meat becomes most fatty and tasty between November and February, the coldest period in a year.

// Del: I just had to get rid of 'look left and right', yes I know that's what he literally says. I can't find a good way to keep that in English.
// This sentence still not ideal, but I think it's better. How to get ignoring lesson, looking out window, scanning area all into one cohesive thought?

<0011> Anyway, the unidentified animal... appears to be quite happy? It's rubbing it's nose against the school gate wall.
// Del: this needs a TL check badly. The one thing I noticed is that same term animal/creature is used both here and in 0005, so that should probably be consistent (meaning we get no new
// information on what the creature is in this line). Aside from that, I've reworded the current meaning, but I can't figure out what the underlying meaning is supposed to be here.

// 走ること数分。見事にウリボウを見失った。
<0167> \{\m{B}} "This is ...bad."
// \{\m{B}} 「やっべぇ…よなぁ…」
<0168> And I don't mean that I might be missing out on a free lunch.
// 昼飯をおごってもらうどころの話じゃなくなっていた。
<0169> It's small but it's quite fast...
// ちっこいくせに足速いんだなぁ…。
<0170> It probably went home on its own... I hope he at least got there in one piece...
// 多分、家までは一人…いや、一匹でもちゃんと帰れるんだろうけど…。
<0171> \{\m{B}} "Well, there's not much I can do about it."
// \{\m{B}} 「ま、なるようにしかならねぇか」
<0172> I don't think I'd find him even if I tried.
// 探したところで見つかるとは思えないしな。
<0173> Anyway... I guess I'll go back and kill some time at school.
// とりあえず適当に時間を潰して学校に戻ろう。
<0174> Since fourth period and homeroom are both over the only students left are those who have club activities.
// 四時間目が終わり、HRさえ終わり、部活のある連中しか残っていない学校に戻ってきた。
<0175> I really don't want to run into Kyou right now...
// なるべくなら、杏と出会わないように…。
<0176> \{Kyou} "Ah..."
// \{杏} 「あ」
<0177> \{\m{B}} "Geh..."
// \{\m{B}} 「げ…」
<0178> \{Kyou} "Welcome back, did you get him home safely?"
// \{杏} 「おかえりー、ボタンはちゃんと送り届けてくれた?」
<0179> \{\m{B}} "Of... of course."
// \{\m{B}} 「と、当然だろ」
<0180> \{Kyou} "I see, thanks. Then as promised, I'll treat you to lunch."
// \{杏} 「そ、ありがと。じゃあ約束だし、お昼おごったげる」
<0181> \{Kyou} "Ah... but like I told you, only within the school cafeteria."
// \{杏} 「あ、言ったと思うけど食堂限定だからね」
<0182> \{\m{B}} "No, that's okay."
// \{\m{B}} 「い、いや、やっぱりいい」
<0183> \{Kyou} "Huh? Why?"
// \{杏} 「へ? なんで?」
<0184> \{\m{B}} "I bought some food on the way here, so it's all right."
// \{\m{B}} 「途中で腹減って買い食いしたから、今はいい」
<0185> \{Kyou} "I won't give you a rain check."
// \{杏} 「今はって…日ぃ変わったらおごんないわよ?」
<0186> \{\m{B}} "Well... that's a shame..."
// \{\m{B}} 「まぁしかたねぇな」
<0187> \{Kyou} "You look somewhat... guilty..."
// \{杏} 「なんか…怪しいわねぇ…?」
<0188> \{\m{B}} "A... anyway... I said it's all right."
// \{\m{B}} 「と、とにかくいいんだよっ」
<0189> \{Kyou} "Okay..."
// \{杏} 「あ…」
<0190> I turn around and run down the hallway to escape from Kyou. // * // To SEEN0419
// Prev: I turn around and run down the hallway as if trying to escape from Kyou.
// 俺は杏に背をむけると逃げるように廊下を走った。
<9800> Sunohara
// 春原
<9801> "Eh?"
// 「え?」
<9802> "What?"
// 「ん?」
<9803> ??
