Code-Zero won't be back for a few days due to personal reasons. Also, let Akuma know that you're taking over. Just to be sure, your translating from Japanese, right? I'll see if I can reach Code-Zero, so just standby for now. --Hiro Hayase 12:41, 7 April 2012 (CDT)
Alright, I can wait. And yes, I'm translating from Japanese. I'll contact Akuma now and tell him to see what he thinks. --Eternal Dreamer 12:44, 7 April 2012 (CDT)

PD: and as you can guess we all can hardly wait for vol 4 of HSDxd :)
Thanks! Hey there, i wanted to thank you for helping out in HighSchool DxD novel! i was really sad since akuma decided to stop translating it, thank you so much for picking it up!! and im sure that there are thousands of fans that are happy because of this, i get to know about you since i asked akuma if someone was taking over. You should go to and register the vol 4 to follow the policy of the web.
High School DxD
Use Chaos Brigade instead of Khaos Brigade. That is the standardized name to use for this project for now. --Hiro Hayase 20:13, 12 April 2012 (CDT)
Understood. I wasn't sure since the chapter title spelled it that way, but it makes sense, since it's probably just a misspell on the author's part. --Eternal Dreamer 21:09, 12 April 2012 (CDT)
Greetings Eternal Dreamer-san.About the last sentence in this paragraph (High School DxD volume 5 life 2 part 2):
"Within my field of vision, a table still safely remained in a corner of the hall and elegant-looking family servant devils could be seen. In the center of these gentle-looking male devils…were people covered in weird-looking food."
I think it's "In the center of these gentle-looking male devils...was a person eating a weird-looking food."But as food can be interpreted either as something that is eaten or drunk, the last part of the sentence can also changed to "...was a person drinking tea." (omitting the weird-looking part to be consistent with part 3 where Diodora Astaroth introduce himself.) Does this sounds better?
Also, about Hyoudo Issei's internal monologue:"—! Seriously!? Number 1!? As in the strongest!>=?" Does the >= part intentional? Or can I change it to "—! Seriously!? Number 1!? As in the strongest!?" ?
In part 3 there were "What’s more, everyone was a distinguished-looking devil on the level above that.." Imo,shouldn't it changed to "What’s more, there were distinguished-looking devils on the level above that."?
For the second one, there's "Saji was also proudly listening to Buchou’s dream.",can it be changed to "Saji was also proudly listening to Kaichou’s dream."?
And lastly there is "Rias, Sona, would you not like to fight each other?" to "Rias, Sona, won't you like to fight each other?".
If it's okay with you,I'll go with the change.Sorry for my lengthy questions.--User753-Talk- 11:11, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
For the first thing, please change it if you think so. I was really unsure and stuck with that section with the food, and I honestly think your interpretation makes more sense, so go ahead
Second part is just a mistype on my part, please feel free to change it. (Sadly, I'm told that I type too fast sometimes.)
Third part, I think either one makes sense, but yours sounds better as a sentence, so please change it if you want.
Last part, I think the original is better. (The more formal phrasing of "would you not" just seems more grammatically correct and sounds better in this context.
Anyway, thank you very much for asking me about this. I appreciate that you took the time to ask me, unlike others, who simply make significant changes as they wish. If you ever feel that other corrections are necessary, please feel free to contact me again like this. --Eternal Dreamer 13:17, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
Copy that.Thank you for your permission.Well, this is a community, and it will be rude if I made a change that will change the meaning without asking the translator(learnt my lesson when I tries to edit AW vol 1 chapter 5 pv without asking,he he,silly me.).Until next time then.--User753-Talk- 17:26, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
Umm...Sorry to intrude again(missing your note on part 3,as the rest are correct,imho.).This time it's a discussion about this one "The Leviathan-sama in question was in a refreshingly pissed off mood." Refreshingly can also mean "pleasantly new/different" (remembering that in Life 1 Serafall Leviathan is acting like a magical girl and such),compared to "surprisingly" I think it's way better.Well,in case you are wondering.--User753-Talk- 18:10, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
Ah, that part. Actually, I was pretty much guessing on the word "refreshingly", since I only half-understood the Japanese word used there プンスカ. I also think surprisingly would work better here, though, so change it if you wish. At the very least, the sentence would make more sense. --Eternal Dreamer 18:17, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
Understood.Thank you very much.--User753-Talk- 18:27, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
Just a quick question.....whenever you, or if its even you, is finished translating Volume 5, will there be a PDF Direct Link like the first 4 volumes? Thanks for all the hard work. -Adamkombat
Yes, I'm the one translating, and yes, it will naturally be put in PDF format when the entire volume is done. The project members do that automatically, regardless.
Hey sorry if I came across rude it wasn't my intention. I really appreciate the hardwork you put into this.-Adamkombat
THAAAAAAAAAAANKS!!!
WOOOO, thank you so much for translating HSDXD!!! i was waiting for life 5 for a some time now!! thanks again!!
(Bjosx) Thank you so much I'm obsessed with highschool dxd and was starting to suffer from withdrawal symptoms and then you came ty ty ty!!!
I just read DxD volume 4 and had a good laugh. I can't wait to read volume 5. Thanks a lot for translating it. --MaerisCrisis 13:12, 28 April 2012 (CDT)
Nice work translating the lasts chapters of Vol. 4. I hope see you in another project. I suggest you check the Teaser Projects or just pick one of your list (ej. Accel World). Anyways keep your translating skills on shape and check the editors corrections/suggestions on your translations in order to improve. --Braiam 14:08, 28 April 2012 (CDT)
Thanks. I'm actually working on Vol 5 of Highschool DxD now (I've already uploaded a redone version of Life 0), though I definitely intend to branch out to other projects like Accel World. (That one especially, since the translation seems to be slow-going and the anime already started.) And of course, I'll continue to try and improve my translating skills with the help of the people on this site. --Eternal Dreamer 14:21, 28 April 2012 (CDT)
Thanks, and you have a website?
Hi there eternal dreamer, thanks for translating HSDXD. I wanted ask you if you have any website or blog were you upload your translations, or do you translate and upload them directly to bakatsuki??
THanks again!
I upload them directly, since I don't really see a need to upload them anywhere else. This is the most widely-known site for light novel translations, after all. --Eternal Dreamer 20:11, 24 April 2012 (CDT)
(Bjosx) I personally quite a few hours looking for good highschool DxD light novel translations and as far as i can tell this is the only place on the internet
thanks for the hard work translating DxD for all the people who can't read japanese/chinese! you're awesome and keep up the good work.
(Bjosx) Eternal Dreamer do you know how many pages were in the first Highschool DxD light novel?
About 298 pages in total. Why? --Eternal Dreamer 07:32, 18 May 2012 (CDT)
(Bjosx) because i'm doing a reading assignment and that is one of the books so I needed to know that.
Thank you
I know (and can see) that I'm not the first conveying my gratitude to you for picking up these untranslated early volumes of HSDxD, but I feel obligued to thank you for that, so, thank you very much. --Kemm 11:28, 4 July 2012 (CDT)
Estimated time for completion
Hi. First of all, thanks a lot for your awesome work. Thanks to you I can appreciate this wonderful series. I have a question: do you have an estimated date for finishing the translation of volume 5? Please, don't take this as trying to make you translate faster or anything, it's just curiosity (and the fact that i am going on vacations and need to know if i am going to need my broadband wireless modem or not XD). Again, thanks for your awesome work, and keep it up ;)
Thank you for your appreciation. As for when Vol 5 will be completed, that's still a bit hard to gauge. Right now, 50 percent of the entire volume, including the afterword, has been completed, but the way I translate is slow compared to others. I'm trying to finish it within two weeks at the very latest and am aiming to finish it by next week, but it all depends on how much free time I have. I hope this answers your question. --Eternal Dreamer 12:17, 5 July 2012 (CDT)
