Generally you have multiple projects on the go to avoid being burnt out, especially when having to focus on one big one for a long period of time. I know I do this with my programming (and to a certain extent when interlacing it with larger chunks of time devoted to learning Japanese).

well if you have super creative mind then its pretty easy for some part. Just need a plot and some real infos then yo have your base how you build on it is pretty much on the author and it needs skills to do it. Just saw the cover for the new manga cover, but no volume 7 in sight. i wish they do background story on both character and do focus on the plot more instead of how to defeat each object. i do need to say that judging from book 1 to book 6 he did improve on the story. i do wish they use quenser crossgender ability to do some stealth volume behind enemy lines.

i won't mind if a volume based on covert infiltration plan on the info side, with Qwenser acting as a girl happens. i feel so sad that the author the same as to aru because that means it won't get written more volumes, i really want more theoretical methods Qwenser can came up with to attack Objects.

why do you think that there won't be more volumes coming out, did he write it somewhere? The author has been writing HO alongside Index for quite some time and also added "The intellectual village of Zarakishi" with the 3rd volume out a while ago and also did a short one-shot volume "The circumstances of Waltraudes marriage" in between.

implying that it would get at least one update a year at the most, unlike most books which gets an update 2 or 3 time a year cuz of i.e. the author only does that series.

I don't know why but I only found HEAVY OBJECT and The circumstances of Waltraudes marriage interesting out of all the LNs the author has written(that I have read, btw)

Seriously, heavy object would make an excellent anime

Let's see:
Action and lots of destruction? Sure, object battles pack one hell of a punch (I mean they are huge steel balls with huge guns attached to them)
Hero? Sure, we have 2 of them lol
Unrequitet romance? (I am talking about the Quenser x Baby magnum pilot) sure
Drama? Yeah
Plot development? YES (it would need some minor adjustments though)
Comedy? There is always room for that

In a nutshell, Heavy Object would make for an awesome anime
(if there already exists such an anime, please tell me where I can find it)
