I held my head with my hands. Game over! If this is someone's psychological attacks, congraduations on her resounding success! I would give her first honor. So who owned this experiment? Haruhi? Information Synthesis Thought Entities? Some undetected new enemy of this world? ...

It was a bit confusing at first. Considering he said "someone", it seems odd that he would use "her" afterwards.

Maybe because he thought it might be Haruhi? He's always one to assume things like that.

The Japanese original text has no gender reference. However, as earlier in the chapter Kyon doubted whether Haruhi had anything to do with it, I'll put a "her" there.

Information Synthesis Thought Entities does sound like a "she"
