I have noticed that when some of them leave comments on internet videos, etc., that there are excess "w's" in the text.

Why?

I think it stands for "warai" (laugh)?

From what I read from certain translators, when they say...

"<insert text here> wwww"...

Yeah. Kinda equivalent to our version of it: "LOL."
This is a place holder to God knows when this owner will change his signature, if he ever thinks of it.

Yes, "wwwww" is the equivalent of "lol", but for a different reason than you think.

The string of W's look like the "ha" katakana (ハ) so it would be "hahahaha" or "ハハハハハ"

Hmm I think its somehow strange since they will have a least two \ / to much with w's why not use Λ instead of w? ;) To obscure? ΛΛΛΛΛ

Probably because it takes only one key to form a long string of wwwwwwww. Much more convenient when you're posting from mobile phones.

So I came across the use of "b" after a sentence recently. Does anyone know what this means?
