Back from China
As some of you may know, I went to China for a week as part of the cultural exchange before the Olympic Games.
And I'm back, thanks for asking.
*ahem*
Regardless, I have mucho pictures to share, we can discuss China and the trip too.

Wait, who are you? You say "back" like you existed here before.
Haha So the trip was good? I would love to travel around the eastern part of the world.

So, Rect, were you affected by the earthquake in any way?
Also, you have a great eye for pictures! I love that one of the temple on the mountain side, you just need a better camera.

Nope, the quake was too far away to cause any noticable affects on Beijing.Dan wrote:lol!

It might be a family talent, I was taking most of those pictures on impulse and guesstimations.
(I'm just going to ignore TGM, its clear he's just trying to tease me; probably because he's jealous that I went to China and he didn't. )

Our guide let us "tour" by ourselves during the Forbidden City tour and got reprimanded to follow the tour guidelines more closely (aka spend our time listening to Chinese history for 20 minutes then move on) for the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, etc.
We did get to climb the Great Wall by ourselves though, something called the Juyonguang section I believed.

I kinda miss China. Not for the communism, but for all the cheap counterfeit stuff you can buy there.

I liked the cheap alcohol, and the fact that you can buy it scot-free, especially if you happen to be from a country that thinks its ok for you to die for your country at age 18 but not ok to drink alcohol until age 21.
