It's not really an official off-vocal, I think it was the one DJ Bouche did when he remixed the song.

But I could be wrong

midi... (there's another format for earlier versions that I can't recall)

mp3 only comes in certain models that support them.

MIDI is quite uncommon in the newer phones, even though midis are like 50kb big, the sound quality is horrible. Most phones (starting 1-2 years ago?) use MP3s for a higher quality ring tone.

You can be pretty damn sure most Ericsson phones don't have mp3 support even though they have Walkman features.

And don't be so quick to jump to conclusions, more phones than you might think don't have mp3 ringtones, just the ability to play mp3s.

On a side note: Phones in USA, Canada, and Japan suck so bad... They're so... old-fashioned. Not to mention expensive.

midi tones are polyphonic tones. I have a God KNow's chorus in MP3 format on my o2 right now.

SE phones support MP3 just fine. The only problem they have are WAV tones.

Nokia 60 series are unable to support MP3 ringtones, while anything 80 and above (N series etc) are able to support both.

And of course, if you're using a PDA, you would be able to support WAV and MP3. If you install codecs into it (Like the one's that come with TCPMP for instance) you should be able to support OGG and ACCs too. Not sure why you would want to, but meh. Having TCPMP also lets you play MKV files, and almost all of the other phone's recording files.
