As they are Maous(Demon Lords), it can't be helped that they just speak as they wish. Besides, if you lose your final battle against a Maou, and you hear him say:
"Did you think you can defeat me, the Great Maou? You little bug!"
As compared to:
"My, Hero-san has already done your best. Yeah, it is a pity this time, but you really put in all your effort, right? So, come on, go back to your save point, try harder next time! Yup, even though the save point may be very far away, but you still have to work hard. I believe in you, Hero, you can do it. Because Hero-san is someone who can accomplish anything he sets his mind to. Maou will always believe in you. So don't think too much about this (loss)!"
