Okay then, I guess we don't have to ask the Big Boss to do anything, right?

Should we have the original japanese names beside the entries?

This sounds like a good idea. That way, even people googling the japanese names can get the site. It also helps editors. I'll add them in now.

Have been a while since i posted in the forums, but reading this, this sounds pretty cool...

If i recall, someone had made a site for something like this right? Together with a light novel magazine that seems almost dead? Should we just revive the site or continue with this?

Secondly... Anyone interested in my list of novels and reviews? LOLz! If so, how should i go about it? send Krikit a PM with every single title i read? haha

Edit: P.S. should we add some titles in even if we have yet to read them? famous ones or something? After all, we do not cover ALL titles... so do we still add those titles in?
God!!
You need not forgive me.
For those I love,
The violence brought about by sinful men
Shall now be used once more.
If you were created to save this world,
If there is a single shred of hope left for the future of mankind,
I am very sorry, but, please begone!

@Shadow:
Spoiler! :
The Light Novel Magazine...lol...

But yeah, this is separate, easier to get to, and on a place most everyone and their mother knows about. So I think it works best as a part of B-T. Every other place has failed miserably, but the Community continues to thrive...wonder if there's any deeper meaning to this O_o. (they're trying to take over the world, one book at a time, lol)

As for the novels and their reviews....I can put them into the database, but first I would need a couple things:

Title
Author+Illustrator

Most of the other information would be in Chinese, so I won't ask for things like the ISBN, release date, etc. If you could find those, it would be helpful, otherwise I'll do it.

Synopsis (your own or from the back of the book.)

With that much information, I can get the site started, then put in a "review" section, where you can write your reviews.
@Anybody who knows Wiki Code:

Is there anyway to make clicking on a image in the Wiki, take you to a different site?

Ex: When you put the code in for an image, you usually use:

Code: Select all

But clicking that image takes you to it's storage on the wiki. Is there a way to make it take you to a different site?

will making a wiki database of books really bring that much attention? I mean, in the end...if nobody can read the books, why bother looking at the info pages? the target audience is probably way too small to mean anything big...

probably...

lol...but in 3 years translating novels, there's been no major take-down effort from Viz/Seven Seas/Tokyopop, etc. You don't really think it's because none of the employees have even heard of, or visited, B-T?

As long as we don't translate novels currently published in English, and stop the projects when they are released, it seems more like a positive way to increase their (viz/tokyopop/seven seas) sales, by increasing the market. Then these companies get like, free advertising and stuff.

I mean, I can understand the legal reasons for being shut down, but as long as B-T fosters the community, which increases interest/sales for Free, and doesn't take anything away...

but...yeah...hopefully we don't get too noticed :)

Well, there's no such thing as bad publicity!
彼らの任務は一つ。
友軍のために死ぬこと。

I did mean for the light novel wiki project - not your database ;) Not that the big boss have in the end to fight against "vampires"...

A pointless criticism:
The titles of the pages are akward. (ie. Database:title=lottery travelers) But I guess it can't really be helped.

Looks good.

I definitely remember seeing that, but I had to look it up anyway. I totally approve of random references!

... Argh, old data loss. >_<

Err, I mean, I do have plans to add something there in the database (Krikit would probably smell what my "evil plans" are from half a globe of the Earth away) but since the current "data" I had on it in mind somehow purely consist of "think-and-forget records," I think I'll have to look back into... uh, "previous records."

And right now I'm reading the contents of my intended "data target" - in Chinese - though using an online translator, I would only be able to understand like, only a few sentences per paragraph that is this long.

... I wish I could "copy" ShadowZeroHeart's Chinese knowledge. ._.

I suppose we should focus our posting to one thread.

Makes sense to use the other one, since it has more visibility.
