This may have been already asked, but until which volume did season 4 of Zero No Tsukaima stop at? Or did all 4 seasons cover all the light novels already?

Actually, the author died before finishing the story (2 volume left) and he revealed the end to the anime producer. So yeah 4th season isn't the real thing because they tried to put 9 volumes in like 12-24 episodes (i can't remember) but it gave us an end. In my opinion, they could have make 3 more seasons but they wanted it to begone.

Basically if you want to know how volume 20 (last volume before he died) finished:
