The "gasp" conveys what is written in the novels in an elegant manner, rather than have Kyon give a long winded speech about his new insight into Yuki's feelings. It's simply a better choice considering the medium of television.

omg i downloaded a better verison of the episode. so worth it. watched it like 3 times already.

I heard about this else where too. I just downloaded the [Yuki] subs so I'll see for myself in a bit. They seem to have the highest quality raws.

I looked though all the subs available. If you have the HD space, I'd suggest [Yuki] subs as well. They are high quality and have what I think are the best subs. Although I think they ripped them straight from Mazui (and threw in a couple changes) and just put them on a HQ episode.

It's true, [Yuki] doesn't have a subber. Yuki N. is just a HD/HQ encoder.

in that scene, technically only kyon knows that mikuru (big) touched mikuru (small)'s cheeks. why so? mikuru (small) was asleep, hence she wouldn't remember anything 'big her' would have done. so my point is this, in ch1 of v7, we have mikuru (small) being rather surprised when kyon lied to haruhi about shamisen's alopecia areata, since she hasn't told kyon about that, yet her 'past' (relative to kyon's present) has played the way it should.

conclusion? the will of those in the 'present' is still a major factor in how the 'present' plays out, albeit the boundary between it and future intervention is rather vague.

question, have the previous eps been using the new ED? i don't have them yet save for BLR, and i'd prefer AVIs over MKVs on this..

Dattebayo and Live_eviL. Their subs are pretty good, just my personal taste in how the translation flows. I know it won't give me a great idea of how each group will do, but I judged each episode on how a couple scenes were translated, but mostly Yuki's way of talking.

What I dislike about DB is their h.264 encodes can't be decoded with coreavc. No idea why, it just doesn't work.

We should have 4-5 new episodes coming up.

Episode 19 and onward should be entirely new, i.e. the Disappearance arc.
