That new girl can't be the slider, she doesn't look at all like Kyon's sister.

Doesn't mean a thing. Slider Girl doesn't look that much like Kyon's Sister either.

Mikoto (for that's her name) could just as easily be another slider as well.

Ruin the fact Slider-tan is not Imouto-san.

Stop it! The theory is too hilarious to let die, now! Kyon has to be tricked into lusting after his own sister!

He's a proven lolicon too... he definitely has a thing for Miyoko Yoshimura.

I agree. Still hilarious, just unrealistic.

Also, there's that girl from way back in episode 2 of Haruhi-chan. She looked like Imouto-chan and was PROBABLY THE SLIDER! Internet said so!

Is it too hard to believe that Slider Girl could be an entirely new character?

Can't say I'm surprised, too many fanboys want imouto to play a larger role in the series when she clearly doesn't matter except for random cuteness.

can anyone in here look for more reliable information related to this (Link NSFW)? i've heard it said so many times that 'good things come to those who wait', but this is just ridiculous..

this is how i see it, but do mind that this might come out sounding like a conspiracy theory.. maybe tanigawa-san had finished a rough draft of sorts before the first delay in '07, but somewhere along the way it got scrapped; maybe the content didn't get Kadokawa's green light.

let's see, we've had 9 titles so far, and based on the connection between content and title, can anyone in here make a brave enough guess as to the possible meat of v10, not that i don't acknowledge all the past attempts.

Oh my god people are listening to Arefact's trolling again.

Vol, 9 wasn't published in Sneaker either, to my knowledge. This means nothing.

They haven't delayed it. They're just not saying anything, like what they've been doing for the past two years. If there hadn't been an article written about it, no one would care at all.

Still it really has been a good couple of years since vol.9. Haruhi was immensely popular, so yes there is (technically) absolutely no reason for delaying it. However there is no reason to keep quite about it either, especially with Sneaker still parading the series as much as possible. Maybe the author is just quietly taking a break.. >_>

a break that's taken so damn long.. just for the heck of it, let's see the wait between all volumes thus far:

v1-v2 3 months
v2-v3 3 months
v3-v4 7 months
v4-v5 2 months
v5-v6 6 months
v6-v7 5 months
v7-v8 9 months
v8-v9 11 months
and of course,
v9-v10 2 YEARS AND COUNTING

i've heard of professors taking year-long sabbaticals, but such a case hardly applies, and even then, this is becoming painfully ridiculous..

Break? I don't think so, considering he's currently writing for a manga in a certain light-novel magazine ...
