Yea, currently the poll numbers probably don't matter.
The reason a long time periods is given is aimed at reducing bias in demographics, the polls could get discovered by a group of people, who prefer the novels that are not currently popular in the polls, bringing forth legit twist(that's not poll spamming).

Why am I thinking Accel World being the first with a so big lead isn't a coincidence?
@Teh-Ping: Maybe making a second poll with only the members could be a good idea. It would be a way to compare the results from here and the results we get from the members of the community... to know if the real tendency is: Hagure, AW, ONnY, Mismarca, STnBD and maybe Vanadis like Misogi said.

The polls already served its purpose, Code-Zero already knows which series is legitimately popular with the people so I don't think we need another polls. Overall, some people seems to have unlimited time in their hands to keep messing up the polls. This polls now served something like a fun laugh for me now each time I come back to look at it.

How does polls on facebook work anyway? Guests or unregistered people can't vote, only those with profiles right?

I went to go create the poll on FB, however there is some bad news....when creating a poll, you can only have 10 items. Although more can be added, that leaves adding things as an option for everyone.
Which sounds like a better plan? Picking 10 from this or hoping nobody adds in other series?
And yes, you can only vote if you are a registered FB user / part of the group.

You'd think so, but...this is Code Zero's poll after all, I'd rather get his permission before altering. (Not to mention I just sort of posted as a random stalker for this.
)
I was just going to post it in FB if it converted smoothly, but it doesn't. (So now I shall simply wait for Ping to do it if C-Z doesn't reply to me beforehand.)

Actually, I think that a poll with FB would give different results than those in the forums. The weight of an animation would be less noticeable there, considering that most of them are light novel readers more than simply people who come here for a single project.

I just heard and all but the poll of teh_ping was like this too? And he resolved putting in the facebook? How was the result compared to the original poll? ~curious~
It's like a race with all the ones with chance of winning using doping?

SAO still won in Ping's poll. but tbh, we're clear that there's not a single novel in this poll as much hyped as SAO was at the time.
