The story takes place in Tokyo in 2039, after the outbreak of the "Apocalypse Virus" during what became known as the "Lost Christmas" of 2029. Since then, Japan has been under the control of the multinational organization called GHQ.

Ouma Shu is a 17 year-old boy who mistakenly obtains a rare and great power. He can use this power, "The Right Hand of the King," to extract "voids," or tools/weapons that are the manifestations of peoples' hearts.

He has been rather shy since a childhood tragedy, but both his personality and life change forever when he meets a girl named Yuzuriha Inori, a member of the rebel group called "Funeral Parlor," whose members seek the restoration of self-government in Japan via the ousting of GHQ.

wow, here I thought this thread was dead already, but then someone finally decided to post in it again. Some hope in humanity has been restored.

Still, 9 votes are an embarrassing amount of votes for Guilty Crown considering how many people are begging for more of it. Everyone is asking for a second season, but if it's a light novel, no one gives a damn. That's pretty sad in my opinion.

well, seeing as Shu wll at least appear in this LN, he will probably have SOME importance. Otherwise there would be no point in giving him a role in this, would there? It most likely won't deal with his future self, though, but only with some side story of when he still was a teen. You can't really tell what this LN is about with no one giving a damn about it. No one even bothered to actually give a summary about the plot in this.

I think Guilty Crown was highly enjoyable whether you took it seriously or not.

This LN could be nice though I've read some spoilers that I'll have to take with a grain of salt.

The anon in question seems to have made a typo with Shibungi's name in that post.
Nitpicking aside, they also seem to have translated the first chapter here (mediafire) (.odt), although that seems to be as far as they're willing to go.
Word of warning, said anon seems to have a terrible choice in font.

With one translated chapter, I think that's technically enough to start the project, (assuming someone registers as a translator and posts it), but obviously if there is someone actually interested in translating it, then the project's future is a bit more secure.
