Full Metal Panic Translation?

Hmmm, dont know if this is the right place to suggest this, or if i even have the right to, being the grateful leecher that I am. But i was wondering if there would be the possibility of picking up the Full Metal Panic novels.

The translator stopped in the middle of the 3rd chapter in the 8th volume.... painful for completionists like me.

anyways if its possible, would be awesome.

I tried asking before as well... this novel has already been licensed and therefore won't be translated by baka-tsuki.

*Nods* I agree. I would like to see this translated as well. Its an awesome series and its unfortunate but i haven't been able to get my hands on any of the Light Novels In any case If the series does happen to be approved I Might be able get my hands on some. I'll do some more research on it. I'll get back to you guys on it. Beside sthis series is one of the main reasons I joined.

Unfortunately, this is one of the few series that we will not translate or host at the moment.

it holds a particularly painful reminder of a time I came close to quitting due to my inexperience and the strict interpretation of the Baka-Tsuki policy regarding licenced series at the time.

However, please do not think this will be a permanent situation.

I will be willing to re-evaluate this series sometime next year, depending on detail information on the status of its publication, if the information and the sufficient interest are favourable, then perhaps we will be able to work something out.

Tokyopop seem to be doing things right for once by releasing all the story volumes first rather than the actual order (story volumes mixed with side story volumes), so it's only a matter of time before we reach BOMF. Look at it this way: If they were to do it in the actual release order, BOMF would be the 19th book, not the 7th.

And unlike Shana, Tokyopop has shown no signs of dropping this series. So just be patient IMO.

I think I asked this early on when I first came to B-T, but what's the breakdown and relation between the novels and the anime?

and the corresponding episodes. For all information purposes, I have no idea how many volumes there are, lol

Gonzo Anime = Book 1, 2, 3
TSR = Book 4 (Upper and Lower)

Book 5 = DVMC
Book 6 = COMO
Book 7 = BOMF
Book 8 = TMMD
Book 9 = Nick of Time

Owaru Day by Day was released in two halves, Book 4 (Upper) and Book 4 (Lower). Hence why Tokyopop seems to take forever to translate it. Knowing them (and their Twelve Kingdom series) they'd probably pull a bumper volume or something.
