Struck you as odd as well ey?
With a title like 'King of Knights' and not 'Queen of Knights' he won't crossdress for long and/or his cover will be blown asap.

Crossdressing =/= masterpiece, it's just that it adds more fun to the story(sometimes, when executed properly, hopefully in a comedic way).

I'm a bit anti the crossdressing, yet to find it used where I didnt consider it cheap. Each to thier own I guess :)

I am not a fan of crossdressing, I am not against it either. I enjoy it where it's used in a light, comedic manner(which is rare, which is what I am hoping for in this LN), but don't like it where it's used cheaply as you said. I pushed this up in my 'to-read' list because I am interested to see how the crossdressing aspect will be played out here.

I think that the concept of someone made to crossdress to be able to attend to an all girls school is quite an old idea that causes a lot of amusing situations.
Always wondering why do translators go AWOL?

Remember that the last two sentences are only one...

EDIT: I suppose that Yoshitaka is the name of the guy, since one of the girls call him with ヨシタカ(Yoshitaka) and 慶貴 can be read as Yoshitaka too, but as I didn't read the novel yet I can't be sure...(And in the image the name don't have Furigana)

Yeah, that's his name, 明知慶貴/Akechi Yoshitaka. I just wanted to point out the かも at the end of Hakane's (the president/silver girl) sentences is basically a verbal tic. It's almost always at the end of her sentences and is occasionally a sentence on its own.

I suppose while I'm at it, I'll say the author's writing (or Yoshitaka's narration if you want to put it that way) is done in a pretty fun manner. For example, when running away in volume 3, he assigned three classmates with "Classmate (A/B/C)" in a very classic RPG-esque manner, one of them dealing 1,000,000 (mental) damage to him.

It just make true my guess, you see that I didn't translate the かも I thought that was some kind of tic, and if I translated the かも the sentence would lost completely the meaning... :P

This is what I was expecting them to say with those facial expressions. Thanks for letting us know.
That illustrator did a good job. I like how the silver haired girl is pouting her cheeks in defiance :D

Illustrator has some weird spots, though. For example, the illustration at the end of volume 2 was described pretty differently, unless it was meant to be a symbolic thing.
And in volume, the green-hair girl's bloomers are described as deep blue (紺色) whereas a color illustration has them as red. I could go on, but you get the point.

Not that I don't like his art, it just mismatches with the context here and there. Also, Silver's my favorite.

This got more votes than I was expecting, though there are certainly lots of amazing novels that are certainly on a higher priority than this

Is it like this "ara ara" which is sometimes used in other stories? Maybe a translator should just transform this かも into romanji?
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

Just a heads up, the this series seems to have concluded at 4 volumes so it might appeal to a translator who would prefer a short term project
